Modificación de un tema de WordPress

Al modificar un tema de WordPress, este método permite conservar intacto el original y utilizar una copia de seguridad (representada mediante un tema hijo).

1. Para identificar fácilmente el tema hijo que estás usando, crea una carpeta nueva en «wp-content/themes» combinando el nombre del tema. (Por ejemplo, si el tema original es «twentyfifteen», crea una carpeta llamada «twentyfifteen-child».)
2. Copia el archivo «style.css» del tema original en la carpeta del tema hijo y modifica «Theme Name» y «Themplate» como se indica a continuación.

3. Crea el archivo «functions.php» en la carpeta del tema hijo con el siguiente código.

4. Copia el archivo «screenshot.png» del tema original en la carpeta del tema hijo.
5. Copia en la carpeta del tema hijo los archivos del tema original que quieras modificar y edítalos para utilizarlos.
