I changed the hosts file to check whether the pages were working properly and posted a related notice on the old site’s announcements page.
I brought the posts over as-is from the old site, so I’ll gradually fix things that don’t look right, such as the program descriptions.
And below are my impressions after installing WordPress~~~
I’ve installed more than 10 WordPress themes (mostly paid), but I still haven’t found one I like 😢
When I find an English-language theme I like and install it, it ends up looking terrible once I fill it with Korean menus and content. (I especially notice that letter spacing, font sizes, and margins in English-speaking countries differ from Korean design.)
The one I thought was decent had various other issues, including scripts (??)
(I also mentioned some fixes in a post I wrote a while ago, but I’ve switched to the current theme.)
The current theme looked nice in the preview, paired with images and videos, but once I added Korean text—and since I don’t have any image content—it ended up looking plain. If I added YouTube videos, it would probably lag…
For now, I’ve filled the content (??) with Google AdSense ads 🙂
Since Kilho.net has content connected through subdomains, it’s hard to find web hosting that suits my needs 😢
I signed up for accounts with several web hosting providers to install and test WordPress.
(If all you need to do is connect subdomains and posts, it works with most hosting providers :))
